What is B.A.B.E.

Bad Ass Boss Entrepreneurs

A community for female entrepreneurs in Toronto, ON to network, socialize, and support one another through a Facebook group. Bi-monthly events are created for the members to have a fun night to mix and mingle and to actually put a face to name, think of it as a girl's night out but with a bunch of bad ass boss babes.

Story behind B.A.B.E.

Being an entrepreneur is hard and sometimes you just need support!
I started my business venture as a personal shopper/stylist in February 2017 and as excited as I was about my new endeavour, there were many times when I wanted to give up. My family and friends have been my biggest supporters and cheerleaders, constantly telling me to keep going and work towards my dream! And I truly appreciate their support. But at the end of the day, it was difficult to relate and understand the difficulties and struggles that come with being a startup entrepreneur.
I went on Facebook to find support groups that I could network with like female entrepreneurs but nothing really interested me. That's when i decided to create an event, I sent out a post to see if any women entrepreneurs would be interested in getting together and only 7 ladies showed up, small but you have to start somewhere! After talking about our careers and getting to know one another, they all suggested I start a Facebook group. I was hesitant at first, but after a few drinks, I went home and like that, 'GIRL BOSS' was born on September 16 2017.
After having hosted a few events these last few months and connecting with fellow members, I truly saw the potential this group has and how much it can grow. I had to stop thinking about this as a 'hobby' but in order for me to grow the community, the name had to change! I wanted something that was still specific to women entrepreneurs but still cool and fun yet simple and with those ideas in mind, B.A.B.E. was born!
